Paris, 5 November 2019. Expleo, trusted partner for end-to-end, integrated engineering, quality services and management consulting for digital transformation, inaugurates today its new head office in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. This allows the Group’s 1,500 Ile-de-France employees to be accommodated in a 12,000 m² space in a completely renovated building: Le Carré.

Through this project, Expleo is strengthening its foothold in the heart of the second largest economic centre in Western Paris (Paris-Saclay cluster), close to its major clients, notably in the automotive and defence industries.

A few months after the unveiling of its new brand, this inauguration is in line with the Group’s growth momentum since the beginning of 2019. This momentum goes hand-in-hand with the launch of an ambitious recruitment campaign this year: a total of 1,600 new employees have joined Expleo teams in France, including 600 in the Ile-de-France region.

Olivier Aldrin, CEO of Expleo, said: “The inauguration of Le Carré rounds off a year of transformation marked by the launch of our new brand, Expleo. Our ambition is to be the reference point as a technological partner for our clients and it is in this spirit that Le Carré was designed. I am particularly proud of the involvement of our teams in this project, proof that we are all fully committed to the Group’s development.”

A space designed to meet the needs of the Group and its clients

Expleo’s activities are based on the permanent evolution of its missions and therefore induce a great mobility in its teams. The spaces in Le Carré are designed to meet this need for flexibility and simplify organizational changes. In addition, the new premises meet Expleo’s clients’ heightened expectations in terms of security and confidentiality.

To showcase Expleo’s research and innovation activities, as well as the Group’s expertise in project development, Le Carré houses an R&D showroom and an Innov Lab, a collaborative space dedicated to the implementation of POC (Proof of Concept), be it on behalf of its clients, as part of Expleo’s research projects or its employees’ own initiatives.

Operating in a network with the Group’s other Innov Labs, and in conjunction with partner research centers and Fab labs, this space allows teams to access dedicated technological equipment (3D printer, virtual reality installations, etc.), to be trained in the use of new tools and to enhance experience sharing with regards to Expleo’s main areas of expertise (data science, systems and software engineering, etc.).

A co-construction approach, with the teams involved in the design of their work environment

25 ambassadors, representing both operational teams and cross-function teams, were involved in the project team to define the specific requirements of their activities in terms of workspaces and equipment. In parallel, some twenty participative workshops brought together around 200 employees to reflect on the design of their future working environment.

A real estate project that reflects Expleo’s commitment to sustainable development

Le Carré was designed with the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adopting a rational model for resource consumption. The building has a four-fold environmental certification (HQE, BREEAM, LEED, BBC Renovation), meeting the latest standards to ensure that the building’s energy footprint is controlled.

Expleo has also implemented internal CSR initiatives to encourage its employees to participate in this effort: proposals for alternative solutions to the use of personal vehicles, incentives to recycle and save paper, the provision of reusable cups for each employee, and catering that is more environmentally friendly and in keeping with seasonal factors.
