Achieving high quality reporting standards in legal organisations
Background
Expleo engaged with a global legal organisation in support of a strategic migration of its test management tooling to Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO). During the migration process the client identified specific custom reports critical to the SDLC which were not covered by ADO’s extensive default reporting capabilities. Expleo’s Data Analytics Engineers were engaged to find a solution to the customised reporting.
Challenges
This reporting need presented two key issues to the client:
- Client specific reporting requirements meant reduced visibility of test results to management teams
- Senior management teams were missing key Management Information (MI) vital to their software delivery process
We are a dedicated team of specialist software professionals, with considerable experience of different clients, industries and technologies. The team provide bespoke, flexible and cost-effective services to enable clients to digitally transform at pace.

Solution
The Expleo Analytics team worked closely with quality assurance and software delivery teams to identify specific reporting requirements critical to the client’s success. Building upon Expleo’s recommended blueprint for test and defect metrics, a customised Expleo Quality Analytics report was developed which sourced data directly from Azure DevOps via it’s ODATA API. This custom report enabled aggregation of the mission critical test and defect data across the all of the client software products accessible through Expleo’s value adding Quality Intelligence Portal (QIP).
