In 2017, a leading insurance firm in Europe set out to modernise their legacy systems, which were proving expensive and time consuming to update and maintain. With customer demand growing for faster and more personalised products, the firm recognised the urgent need to reduce costs and improve speed to market. Above all, they wanted quality built into their platform with thorough testing.
Expleo brings deep experience of ABS, Guidewire and msg platforms, as well as quality assurance and testing strategy. We provided a full-service approach across all departments in the programme, including a standardised change process in the form of new frameworks for data, testing and process implementation.
Managing the change process was likewise a critical task. With 19 simultaneous projects, easy collaboration with the client teams and general contractor proved central to rapid delivery. Our process of testing, learning and iterating ensured long-term success, allowing enough time to consolidate results, continually improve, adapt and remain compliant without impacting release dates.
Acting as one team, Expleo and the client implemented a new and complete core system that included billing, commission and a partner system – all within a record-breaking 18-month timeline. The firm has moved to a new platform that will enable future innovation and opportunities.
